What type of spark plugs are my fellow CBR riders using.....specifically the 929'rs? I hear Iridium or something like that. I'm about to get my bike tuned up prior to heading out to bike week and would like to know what everyone is using so i'm not left behind in the maintenance category. Thanks in advance.

There is not alot of options when it comes to sparkplugs..just get the proper ones ( kind of expensive normally @ $10 a plug I believe) but that is the price to pay for technology

NGK Iridiums CR9EHIX-9 $6.95 ea.

I changed my spark plugs at around 15,000 and I could feel a difference in throttle response.

Here is the trick.....
I priced a set of NGK plugs at my local motorcycle shop, and they were 10$ each. I called up my local automotive ship, and bought the EXACT SAME plugs for 2 dollars each.. I can't say this enough, EXACT same plug!!! Everything matched perfect for 8 dollars less a plug!!! Chew on that one!!!

Are you sure? Same heat range, thread extension, same part number?

Calkidd, I promise you the exact same plug. They even had the "optional" plug available for my bike. You would be suprised!!! I installed the plugs and ran the heck outta my bike!! So don't underestimate your local auto shop! Don't tell them its for a bike, just match the plug numbers and let them cross reference it!! What a wonderful thing.
