it's all cool. Yea, i was kind of like "dude, i KNOW what kind of liquid to use for my bike" hahaahahh...yea, gas price here is a little cheaper than elsewhere...thank god. I heard it's gonna be somewhere around 4 or higher in summer. I've been riding my bike for the past 3 days during last week and i love it. My Z is a V6 but it drinks gas like a Macho man on roid. I get around 17-18mpg in my Z and I CAN ONLY put 93 in it as well. I just can't afford 50-55 bucks everytime i have to fill it up. Damn, just imagine people with V8 Suburban and Z71 and alll the GMC with 5.7L and up...HOLY

I got a Tahoe, 5.7 Liter, 12 mpg.  Now it gets close to 15, because I got a open throttle body and free flow exhaust and other little mods that up'ed my gas milage a little...it costs me almost $85 to fill it with 87 a week.  When I ride my bike to work, I save upwards of $8 a day.

I figured most people would know that the bikes take 93, but in this thread, I almost posted... "You know you put gas in the gas tank, right?"

Nothing personal to anyone...but common sense got left at the door in this thread.

ok i filled up yesterday properly and got the fuel level to the top finally! ahhaha it was a triumphant experience!  I'll get an accurate reading this tank then of what my mpg is.  I've ridden 48 miles so far and only 1 tick of the gas gauge has gone down

Well heres an ironic story.... So after writing this thread originally I figured I would try riding the bike really easy for a tank. Well im at about 162 miles on it and still no blinking light just one bar. Im thinking to myself WOW this is a big difference. Well sadly I make it to about 165 miles and then putttt puttttt down the street I go. I had to push it about a mile down the road to the gas station, luckily it was mostly downhill. But over all on the tank I got about 38 miles a gallon.

Well, for me, i get around 35mpg. Less sometimes when it is all city driving, but it is really nice while on the highway. Beats me 11mpg 05 Cummins Ram 3500. True, i put a chip, exhaust, and intake on it, and it is super nice to smoke other peoples cars in, but it costs me about 120$ to fill its tank now with diesel.
Ride away!!

its a sport bike not a cruiser. you compensate for gas mileage with performance

Wow Z's only get 17-18.  My Nismo 4x4 Frontier gets 16.5 on 87, 18-19 highway.  Course that's also my major bargining tool for trying to convince my wife to allow me to get a 600.  She has a big problem with the whole safety thing.

gas prices are getting insane. Its 3.90 here in Ohio for the 93 octane and 4 for 94. Its sick and really makes me not wanna drive or even ride as much. anyone else feel the same?

haha, that's my reasoning to buying a bike. $85 twice a week in my truck isn't much fun. This bike is going to save me quite a bit of money.

that is insane and everyone wonders why the economy has gone to shit. Its cause we cant afford to go out anywhere because all our extra money goes to gas.

Ever since I have had the bike I have only gotten around 36-38 miles on a tank of gas. Is this pretty normal because I expected to get around 40 if not more. Is there anything I can do to increase my gas mileage?

Shift to 2nd gear.  Jk.
