wow $540 in canada, thats going to bump the cost of the fishing trip this summer. we drive for about six hours after crossing the border into canada with a 6.0liter truck getting 14mpg pulling the boat. Going to be fun putting gas in that thing.

I get around 140ish miles in before the light goes on (thought i was getting low gas mileage till i read this thread), and that's with me going to school that's 25 miles  away, riding at 80-90 mph (only on the highway, and that's for about 20 miles straight), i only hit like 4 stop signs and 5 traffic lights total doing that ride. And gas in my area of Florida is about 3.85-3.95 a gallon for super premium.

My reserve light comes on at about 160.  But that is only when I am not messing around.  When riding spirited (as I like to call it), it's about 129.  Gas in central NY is 3.97 per gallon for super (93) and that is what I run.

I have many mods... bmc filter, pc3, pipe, ignition advancer, velocity stacks, etc...

What also may affect mileage is tire pressure.  When messing around I run lower pressures (30 psi), otherwise 34-35 normally.

Iv got a 46 tooth rear sprocket, and i still get 120-140 per tank... I ride it hard most of the time.   (my 750 nighthawk gets 175 a tank- 4.8 gal)                                                    Still better than my 71 datsun 240z v8, its like 12mpg on a good day.  lol

Light? What light? (I've only had it come on once in the month that I've had it...got a habit of topping it off)  Just kidding. 38 to 40 mpg. or 150-ish before the light comes on. Rode 460 miles during the Memorial Day weekend. Premium fuel in NC ....$4.06/gallon.

Isn't that sad how barely 10 years ago gas was around $1.00/ gallon? Here in Nebraska premium is running over $4.00. I would post what my bike does per tank but I haven't had it long enough to pay attention.
