Don't mind at all, pretty cheap, fun toy, really... Bike was $2000 Moto kit from Motostrano.com $500.46 Front fender $20 brand new Rear fender w/plate and tail light basically brand new $25 Instrument cluster (not necessary) $125 That's just $2545.00 and while I haven't licensed it yet I know it's going to be around $80 for taxes and plates are only $33, inspection $10, insurance is $110 a year and would only take a single payment (lol). So we're at $2778.00 for a fun ass bike that can keep up with the sportbikes in the tight twisties and rocks wheelies as long as your hand has blood in it and can romp the meanest trails I've thrown it at so far. Not claiming to be the off-road master but I have certainly put it to some serious terrain and it performed as well as I could make it, always there for power. It's also really cool because it SLOWS YOU DOWN. It's not a top-speed bike and it really makes you kind of enjoy the scenery where you're tempted to pin the throttle on you CBR, lol. I've found places in my city I never knew about before because I can now go down the gnarliest road in town and just stand up and rock through it like it's my own personal playground... definitely unique and absolutely fun. A completely different ride. Also keep in mind, it's the fact that I've been riding this that I made that post about the HD Nightster. I've always thought it looked cool but never could see myself riding it or anything like it. After romping the XR around I've kind of realized that there are so many different types of riding that I'd be hard-pressed to call any of them boring. Even if it was on a Harley Davidson (though it maynotbe my first choice ).

Nothing but good things, from what I've read. Nothing wrong with that bike at all... I've read a steering damper is beneficial but what bike can't say that? The DRZ400SM wheelies in third like no ones business, too. There's footage, lol.

It's a bit long but it certainly gives you an idea of what the bike is capable of. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6s2RzSVtys If you include the cost of the real deal supermoto wheels, it would jump your total up by $700, so you're talking $3400 for a fully outfitted moto. While searching for moto vids I cam across this title... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6s2RzSVtys I had to click it and while I didn't need the lesson he certainly taught it well. I was surprised... I was expecting to see some d-bag chasing whoolies in a parking lot, lol.

I've seen them go on CL for as low as $4000. You could probably get one with spare dirt tires/wheels for around $4800-$5400. The real trick, to avoid a costly bike, is to spend as little as possible to get it street legal, then spend EVERYTHING you have left for a decent set of moto wheels, base price is around $700 for a set. So if you could find any bike already with headlight and tail light and a title, it's a good platform to start (sort of like mine). I just ran out of cash - I'm taking the lady on a cruise with a large chunk of what I had left over from selling the 929. Trust me... it's tough sitting on that cash when I know I could have some sick ass supermoto wheels, lol.

You would think Phoenix Az would have a ton of bikes to pick from being its riding season ALL YEAR LONG! Guess everyone wants to ride right now. here is another I found, looks nice. The color I would want http://phoenix.craigslist.org/mcy/647836301.html

That first one is sick! You gonna go for one? Dude, they're a blast! I couldn't do it if I had to give up my CBR but in addition to the CBR, these things are a friggin' blast. You'll love it - any idea of what you're looking to spend? You can get a KTM 400EXC which is pretty damn mean (100+mph) for around $3000. They also have titles so you may find one that is set up for street already. If you could find one for a decent enough proce you could have a SERIOUS supermoto for around $4000. I think the new DRZ's are like $6500 brand new... don't quote me. Pretty much do you want brand new with warranty or a real play toy that you won't cry about if (and when) you take it in the dirt and drop it, lol. I like knowing I'm fully dirt capable and it wouldn't break my heart. Plastics for these bikes is the least expensive thing next to spark plugs, lol. It's like $100 for a complete kit brand new.
