Question for the group. I test drove cbr 1000 and was blown away. More bike than I could have ever imagined. I am currently riding vtx 1800 retro and am thinking about selling so that I can get the cbr. The only complaint was that I felt pain/pressure in the wrists. Is this something that will go away w/ time. Thanks for the info. Ride safe, Jeff

going from a cruiser to a streetbike will take some getting use to. your wrists will get use to the added weight put on them by leaning over the bike. you can buy helibars for the bike to raise the clip-ons higher than stock but you will still have some wrist pain from leaning over.

If your wrists get sore or your hand starts going numb then it's most likely bad form. Instead of using your arms to hold up all your weight try using your legs and back. Some people also get sore in their back from hunching over and putting all the strain on their arms. Try to keep your back straight and your legs tight against the tank. This really works and is FREE. The CBR is the most comfortable sport bike I've ever been on but it'll never be quite as comfy as a VTX.
