If bike selling season (spring) in ND is anything like MN, he may be able to get $2500 for it. Affordable used sportbikes are hard to come by in the twin cities. Unlike southern states poeple don't get to ride all year round so they aren't thinking about buying until spring and it is a feeding frenzy then.

ok, so i finally didnt have to work and got to go look at this bike. its a 97 f3 with 16.5k is rashed a little on the left side but is a ez-fix, needs a tail fairing. it ran and drove pretty well. he said he wants 2000 for it. also needs new fork seals which is 150 at my dealer. is this a good price or should i pass it up.

I bought my 97 F3 from a gal in Maple Grove MN about 3 weeks ago for 1900, pretty much same condition 10K miles. When I saw the pic you posted I thought it was the same bike.

Yep..that`s a good approach. The bike is NOT worth anything over $2000. By the time you fart around sourcing and buying these parts, instaling them, etc... Is your time an agravation worth nothing? If it was a Smokin Joes, well then, that is different!

Just my two cents. I got mine for 2000.00 it is a 96, with 41000 km on it it runs good, all fairings are in great shape but one + the guy threw in a racing suit, boots, gloves, a stand, and a helmet. I still haven't safetied it, and there a bit of noise in the engine, so there could be a couple things to fix. AND the only other problem is the guy painted it half black and half silver down the middle, and oposite on the tank. i think this kept people away casue i watched it for awhile. SO i think you could do better
