my only problem is that i didnt see any rivits.
if i did see them i wouldnt have posted saying i didnt see how to get it back together.

perhaps they're under that black rubber trim peice....but it seems really thin to be hiding rivits behind it.

i'll check it out again.

Not sure Rick, if not too hasty hold on for a day or 2. I will be riding with a friend tomorrow with a Micron, i will take a peek at it. Otherwise someone else may chime in.

that would be great, your opinion means quite a bit to me, as you've only ever spoken from experience, and knowledge.

i'll wait to find out what you see.

Ok Rick here is the deal. The Micron pipe is welded in the front, and in the back there are bolts on the inside that bolt to the core. Kinda hard to explain here, but long story short you have to cut the pipe, loosen the back cap bolts, you will have to weld the core to the rear section again, then bolt it back up. So i guess the main concern is there will be welding necessary, but it is doable.

Brakes are only as hard as you make them! I picked up a small break bleeder from autozone for like 6 bucks and i think it was a great investment and at only 6 bucks why pass it up?!

Yes some fluid will return to the cylinder. Once you compress the piston that fluid has to return back to the cylinder.Once you pop the new brakes in check it and fill as needed. Me personally I use my rear brake never..... I put like 20,000 miles on my bike and have replaced the rear pads once.

this should be the process, remove cylinder cap, compress piston, pop in new pads, put cylinder cap back on, pump brakes, if needed add fluid or bleed brakes. If you can stop and your satisfied with the way your brakes feeland are safe at the same time then dont bleed them. If you didnt have problems with the brakes working before pad replacement then you shouldnt have to bleed them, well unless you took the brake line off the caliber and leaked fluid all over the place.

Yeah i do mean the rear brake master cylinder, I recommend you do cause forcing that piston back in and not leavin a place for that air to leave can probaly damage your master cylinder.
