Hi Everybody,

I have just ordered the Tripage F/E with CA integrated tail light for my 08 CBR600RR (Can't wait!) and I've been looking at some of the slip-ons on this site. You guys have some great looking bikes!

Here's my question:

Between the Yoshimura RS-5, Two Brothers V.A.L.E. M2, Jardine RT-1 and Akrapovic; have any of you heard what they all sound like (they all look good!)? What are your opinions?

Also...

Is it a fair price range to be looking to pay around $500 - $600 for these slip-ons? (Maybe the Akrapovic being the highest) Any suggestions for a good website that usually has decent prices?

Thanks!

Think I've seen n heard all those. the best looking are the Jardine and Akrapovic. They all sounded about the same to me. Each having different tones at diff rpms. All seem to stick out to far for my taste. The Akrapovicfits the best IMO from the ones I've seen, but its the most expensive too I believe. The best one I seen was on a 07 1kRR n the guy shortened it a few inches and it looked dayum right sexah.

Thanks for the feedback...

I think I've narrowed it down to either the Two bros or Jardine.  Should I wait to install the Tripage F/E until I get a slip-on?

Thanks...I don't think I'll ride around with no pipe at all...

I'd wait n do it all at once. From what I've heard theres a few tricks n tweaks with the Tripage F/E n tail light, esp with a aftermarket pipe.

i don't see anything wrong with installing the FE before the exhaust arrives.  that's what i did and it is nice to have things happen in stages so you really appreciate each mod you do to your bike, imo.

+1 to that.  It really makes me appreciate it more when I space out my mods.  I feel bad for the people who ask me what I've done to it though, cause I rattle on for 2-3 minutes minimum telling them every little detail that they don't care about.  Sure, they were probably making small talk, but it's their fault for trying to make small talk about my most prized possession.

Just curious why honda relocated the taillight?  Was it melting the taillight too bad so they made it into the rear you end up deleting anyways?  Is there any other taillight option other than the rear bar under the exhaust that is on ebay for the 07/08?

My FE kit showed up before my exhaust so I will end up installing them at different times. I do feel good about installing the FE but I think the exhaust is going to make a HUGE difference. The stock exhaust looks like poop without the big stock ass hiding it...plus I left the heatshield on, and that's not very good looking.

Couldn't be any happier with my Jardine!! Great Looks and the sound isn't tooo loud.  Resembles an F1 car i've been told.

OOOOOOOO That's what I want. I want something loud, high pitched and whiney like an indy car! I've listened to that website that has like every exhaust out there and they all sound the same online. I really like the color of the black/blue micron I just wish I could hear it in person. Maybe I'll look at a Jardine.

Akrapovic's sound ABSOLUTELY AMAZING on the 600RR. Deep, throaty and none of that buzzy, excessively loud "look at me" nonsense that I hear all the time. Yoshi sounds good sometimes (depending on the bike). Two bros to me look ridiculous sticking out of just about every bike I see them on.

But yeah, Akrapovic would be my choice if I was in the market for a slipon........

Ok so here's how my slip-on turned out. I would like to get 3 more things done in the near future and I was wondering if you guys could help me out....

    1. Front Turn Signals
    2. Tripage License Plate bracket (what's up with their website?)
    3. Chrome or Black windscreen (opinions?)

I could really use some pointers/examples...(Sorry dial-up, I like big pictures)
