Suffolk County Police said Frank Patti, 26, of West Islip, rode by the police car at a service station in Copiague at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say Patti made an obscene gesture to two officers in the car, popped a wheelie and then sped away.

Police gave chase.

When the motorcycle turned into a parking lot it crashed into a police car that had joined the chase.

Police said Patti was treated for minor injuries at Southside Hospital. He's charged with fleeing police, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.

He was being held for arraignment Monday. Police did not know if he had an attorney.

um, yeah that was well worth it Mr. Patti?!?

LMAO... Surprised i didnt hear about this...

these are the type of people that i deal with around here....(definetly a gsxr)

But in mr dumbass patti's defense, I can almost garentee(sp) he didnt "crash" into the cruiser, but the cruiser drove right into him
Suffolk PD is on a rampage right now against motrcycles, and has even pulled people over doing toy for tot runs for BS equipment tickets... Ill try to find the article on it..

Are you serious? Although I understand people should have their bikes up to par (reg, inspection, etc...) but equipment violations during a charity ride? That is just ludacris.
