I think its time someone spoke up for the "Banana Seat People".  First, I will agree 100% that it does look better, however; it is not nearly as comfortable. For instance, If you have a "Nana" you know what I am talking about look at the miles! I have an 06 Blue n Black F4I with 1850 miles bone stock never down that I bought for 5,500.  It came with 3 helmets and 2 magnet bike bags.  I purchased it last August private sale and I now have over 4,800 miles on it and counting. I couldn't pass this deal up.

I liked how the RR looked a lot better but I accepted it.  I have only been to the "Stealership twice for oil changes and the 7 dollar inspection sticker because I live in NY NY. It doesnt bother me because unlike a lot of people with the exception of the real riders you know who you are who ride their bikes and dont' just stare at them and leave them sitting for a long time.  I rode through the winter like a lot of hard core riders.  Im 33yrs old and I only did 2 modifications to the bike.  I did the fender eliminator by comp works and a 2 Bros slip on that sounds awesom.  My next bike ? will be my second bike. I will keep my baby the "F4i" with The "Nana" seat and it will come in handy one day when it becomes my Stunt bike. Good luck to the people trying to transfer the split seat to the "Nana" seat then...

You really think that any of us with the split seat would want the banana seat?  Keep telling yourself it looks better, whatever helps you sleep at night.

Im just busting your balls, as long as you enjoy the bike and your safe, thats all that matters.  Watch those pot holes in NY....they are insane.

I've had both and I actually can get more in the split seat tail lol

My nana seat wasnt no more/less comfortable than my split (thinking of a corbin )

Passenger seat? wh I'd have to say the nana wouldbe more comfortable, but I never rode bitch on mine to know lol.

As far as looks goes, well thats all in the eyes of the beholder.

The eternal question...split or banana.

I chose banana because I want my balls to be happy. Happy balls mean a happy Fishfryer. For those of you that think your solo seat makes happy balls...you are wrong...you simply have RR envy and numb balls. The numb balls thing works out because the chicks on the back won't have a happy cooch...numb balls with a unhappy cooch is no way to go through life, ask any gixxer driver.

I want to go on the record as saying that I prefer my balls to have feeling and I am sure that they want to be near happy cooches!

LOL at the whole post! I have a split seat on my 01 and know when to either lift up a bit or press my stomach on the gas tani. The few girls who've ridden with me have yet to complain. I haven't had it long though.

If your balls hurt on either seat, maybe you should go see a doctor, LOL.  I can honestly say I have not had that problem.

Split seat FTW. I would never even have considered a F4i if all there was were nana seats. I feel like I'm sliding all over the place on them, plus they don't look near as good but that's all subjective.

What is the point of this thread anyway?

The point of the thread is the nana seat is a lot more comfortable and useful.  I understand if you don't like the Nana you would never buy one from the 04-06 years, but if you got a deal like others and me you would take it instead of buying one from the 01-03 years.

The banana is super comfy.  I cannot speak for the split seat but I will be able to soon as I am taking on the conversion.  I have all the parts I need but I am in the process of fixing some cracks on the tail fairing.  The reason for the conversion is purely looks.  The split seat looks damn sexy.  But I do agree with jr82374 that the next bike I get will be my second bike parked next to my F4i.

I have an 04 f4i but before I had the 02 and I loved my split seat but i do agree that Nana seat is more confy. And now Im doing conversion just cause my tail was messed up and so insted of putting the Nana its a perfect time to put a splitt seat. BUt its not that bad that you cant handle. Its all matters on the rider how you ride. If some of you think that split seat hurts your Nuts then try riding the RR LOL Which is my next move to the RR world.

I may be bias, but I believe the split seat looks better.
