Probably too loud for a daily driver.

Gonna burn your valves up!

Yeah they do sound sweet - they don't sound too good on engine braking, IMO.  It would sound fvcking sick though on a long sweeper in 3rd @ 11K RPM though...

You will not burn your valves running it like that- that's an old wives tale so to speak.  You will however loose some low end punch.  When i switched my exhaust I started my F4 up with just the open after market header and it sounded like a dragster on idle LOL!

Yeah I can't decide whether or not I want to leave it like this. I think I may. My bike with stock can is pretty much silent at lower rpms. Loud pipes save lives right? ;)

Yet another old wives tale...

In reality something that loud just annoys everybody.

But to be annoying means that you have to be heard, and to be heard means that the cagers know you're there, and if they know you're there then you're loud pipes just might save your life!

The only bike I have heard that sounds good and not too loud with only a mid pipe is my buddys 06 "TUNA" 600.  The stock mid pipe on that bike is a resonator (has alot of packing).

My bike has a aftermarket header and D&D mid pipe and slip on and it's damn loud at all times.  I would not want it any louder that it is.  The only problem with having a really loud bike is even if your not doing anything dumb you still become "That guy" if you know what I mean?
