05 CBR1000RR just got it

The levers seem really far. Clutch and front break are a pain. ARe new levers the way to go ?
Anyone have new ones yet ?


about what do they run $ ? I saw some on ebay for 179.99, that seemed like a lot for a bent piece of metal to me.

You basically have 4 main choices (listed from most to least expensive):

1) ASV- a lot of position settings and a 5 year warrenty, long or short, limited colors, thick levers ~$210
2) CRG- 6 position, dual bearings, long or short, limited colors, thinner levers ~$210
3)Pazzo- 6 position, single bearings, long or short, most colors to choose from, average thickness ~$170
4)Titax-6 position, dual bearings, long or short, limited colors, thick levers ~$150 (superbikesupply.com)

You will not notice much difference at all between CRG, Pazzo, and Titax. The ASV's are also similar in feel.

What do you mean bar far?
The stock levers should have some adjustment to them. Not as much as the aftermarket ones but they do offer an adjustment.

I just helped/watched CBRCRF put the ASV's on his 1krr. Looked and felt really good. Just ordered a set for myself.[:D]

Just bought titax levers about 2 months ago and love them. THe big difference is in the position that they pull from. The pivot point on the aftermarket levers is alot different then stock making an easier pull and with the pall bearing setup they are alot smoother. I felt alot more braking sensation with mine. All are about the same, but I love my titax even thought they are a little bigger I have sausage fingers [:)]

I've have Pazzo & CRG on two of my bikes. Just put ASV levers on my '08 ZX-10. All are very good, but I prefer the ASV's. The ASV's have a roller adjustment instead of a "click" adjustment, so the range is much greater. I'll definitely get them for my '08 CBR 1000.

It took me about two days to get use to my ASV shorties, but now that I am use to them, I never want to go back.

You made a good choice! I am sure you will be happy with them.

FYI- you need to use the original (copper?) bushing from your original clutch lever, and you will have to read the instructions for the brake lever, but its not difficult.
