Hello All.
I have a 1992 CBR900 that has an overheating problem in the wiring connector under the seat. The regulator also gets what I think is uncharistically hot.
The connector got so hot it partially melted the connector. I have repaired this but the new, more substantial connections are still far too warm. I have not checked the battery voltage or charging voltage.
I cannot find a wiring diagram for this early model but have heard that this model has a few probs in this area.
If anybody can help with my prob I will dance at their wedding.

I'll hit you up on your offer, but first let's see how well you dance...  BTW the ceremony is next month.

Common problem, w/ the 900's.  Use this check list to go thru to find out what your problem is.

Got the same problem.  The connectors are shit on the bikes and you need to clean the terminals and female ends well and then pack the hell out of the connector with dielectric greese to keep the terminals from corroding any more.  THey may look clean but the resistence is considerable and causing excessive heat buildup.  Thats my experience with the issue.  Also and 01-03 GSXR REG/REC is a solid upgrade over your stocker.
