Hey Guys, I was reading on the gixxerforum about guys switching their bikes to use gp style shifting, 1 up and 5 down, and thought it was interesting and was considering doing it with my 1994 cbr 900 rr. I was wondering if any of you have done it and what you thought of it? I also was wondering if there is a kit I need to purchase, and how exactly it is switched over mechanically. Would it be beneficial to get rearsets also if I change this? Thanks Zach

all you have to do is switch the shifter linkage where it connects to the shaft that sticks out of your motor. It normally faces up switch it to face down.

On my bike the shift lever is splined and attatches directly to the splined shaft coming out of the engine.
