Hey guys,
I recently have been looking for a bike and found a silver/red 2000 F4.  It has 13,400 miles on it and says it has a full two brothers titanium exhaust, corbin leather seat, LED brakelight, smoked windscreen, cf mirrors and turn signals and bar ends.  What is a price that i should be paying for this? What should i look out for when testing it?

Hard to say prices vary so much. I would guess anywhere from $3-4K

I payed $3500 for my 00' F4 last summer and it came with flush mount signals and a M4 pipe and 20,800 miles.  Id probably ask for about if not maybe a little more than that depending on where in the country you live.

With the F4s definitly watch for problems with 2nd gear slipping.  At lot of people beat on the bikes and F4s are known to have problems with the shift forks getting worn out.  Its a pretty costly repair as well.  Other than that, just check the norms.

Thanks for the fast replies! I live in Iowa if that helps out any? It seems as if bikes are alot more expensive around here than other places.

ha yeah n8... even vehicles in canada... like a new denali gmc here is 15000 more than it is in the states?! Doesn't make sense.. but we canadians will pay that much so they can charge that much i guess. I mean the bike is in imaculate condition so i wasn't too worried but its alot cheaper in other places. I checked for a yoshi exhaust at a dealer here and he wants 450 just for an rs3 can and midpipe stainless. I just purchased one off ebay for 300.. hopefully i don't have to pay tax lol

Damn Canadian prices. I'm glad though, I got a great deal (atleast I think so anyway).

00', 15,000km (9,800Mi), bit of rash on the upper fairing, scorpion sr-500 alarm, flush mounts, undertail. $4200.

I'm from Ontario, and have not found a better deal, both dealer and private.

I paid $3,200 for the same bike, with 14,000 miles on it.  It had a slight rash on the right side, wasn't bad.  I thought that was a decent price, and I was looking for something like it for my first bike.  I'd say between 3,600 and 3,900 for that bike

I paid $2900 for my '00 F4.  It had 13,300 miles.  Came with Chrome windscreen, grips, freakin CRAZY LOUD D&D exhaust, the guys badass Honda racing jacket, and a loading ramp.

It had a previous salvage title, but frame and front end were perfect.  It had light road rash, but not bad, also had no mirrors or blinkers.

I live in Lincoln, NE, and it seems like bikes are a little cheaper around here since we can't ride year round. So I'd say, with a clean title look for low $3000 range.

Hope that helps!!

I just paid $2,500 for a '99 F4 with 10,xxx miles, clean title.  With a ton of extras.  The bike has been laid down, but the plastics were replaced so it looks nice.  And it came with a TON of extras from another bike.  And a hesitation problem :(
