I just bought my first 1000.

I used to wheelie on dirtbikes.   DId once on my ald 600.

How exactly should i learn on my new bike?  start trying in second gear or 3rd?

Click back on your browser, scroll to the top, click on the first topic in this forum called HOW TO WHEELIE INSTRUCTIONS. Then carefully read it, then read it again. Then go find a nice empty spot to go practice.

just a question: if you wheelied dirt bikes and wheelied an old 600, then why would you ask how to start learning if you pretty much already know how?

dont attempt a wheelie in first gear for starters on a thousand. they are possible but scary.   start by trying to power it up in second. dont clutch it up until you are used to the power of your new engine.  you can also probably power it up in third.  just ease into it for now.

my advice is to never clutch a 1000 in first gear. not necessary and risky
