I ordered a stock filter.

Other than cutting the license plate holder down, this bike is completely stock w/just over 20,000 miles on her. Maybe after I get her up and running smooth I'll get the K&N.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm going to try everything else before looking toward the stuck valve possibility. Plugs look good. I'll double check everything tomorrow and get back to you...

Soooo... Yesterday I went back through the carbs again, and FINALLY got her running!

Soaking everything extensively in carb cleaner, going through 5 bottles of carb cleaner, and blasting them with compressed air didn't work: I ended up using very thin copper wire (1 strand from a dissected lamp chord!) and toothpicks to "floss" them all out, THEN running more carb cleaner and compressed air to clean everything out.

While I was in there I removed the individual nylon filters and have added a see-through filter between the petcock and carbs.

Fortunately, while she's been apart I've been able to clean up a lot of other stuff - the latest is cleaning out the tank because there's some rust forming in there that I don't want to deal with in the future. Should be back on the road in no time!

Thanks for your help everyone!

P.S. Those of you who don't have to worry about winters, consider yourselves lucky!
