Any car that can keep up with a well ridden liter bike is going to be a basket case to live with. My bike runs on 91 octane gas, is quiet, corners like a dream, gets 40 MPG, and will last 100,000 miles. How many 10 second cars can say that? Bikes rule.

My car gets about 8mpg, requires 93 or higher octane, shakes like a bitch, is loud as hell, will probably last a lot longer then you think, and corners almost as quick as my bike. Oh and i wouldn't have it any other way

Actually, most performance cars will corner harder and faster than most bikes. If your car is set up to run a road course, it can smoke most bikes on a tight curvy course.

I'm gettin 28 highway! It can be quiet, if I keep it around 2k rpm's, but you will HEAR me when I tromp the pedal. Oh, and there are a good many of them rolling around with 600+rwhp with well over 75K on em!!! 520's HP on 93 octane, that I can drive in cold weather, or rain, IF I HAVE TO.....makes me wonder why I even have a bike somedays!!

How many of these cars are running 10 second 1/4 miles? Every few years the magazines do a car vs. bike road race, and the bikes always win. Vipers and Corvettes either blow up or get smoked. Show me a car that can run high nines in the 1/4 mile and beat a bike on a road course. I eat muscle cars for breakfast. Mustang Cobras are my favorite...

Dude ur rediculous,, are u asking about STOCK cars?? Modified mustangs/camaros running mid-LOW 10's are a fricken dime a dozen at the track. A majority of those cars are street legal and ARE driven on the street Hell even here in california where smog restrictions are much harsher there can be plenty of 9-10second cars to be found if you know the right people. Its just you wont see these cars cruising down the highway at 5pm during your usual commute. Now asking about doing 9-10second quarter miles AND beating a bike at the track?? Well that definetely rules out a lot of the drag cars i.e. mustangs/camaros built rear ends and cages heh. Of course you can't beat a bike for the $$,, you get 9 to 11 second performance, pump gas, reliability, and unreal turning IF you can ride it for all its worth. Only thing is, I think cars are more of a hobby in the building, tuning, etc.. while bikes a lot more effort in the riding part heh. For example, the new C6 Z06 corvette can run high 10's at 130mph with just drag radials and good weather.. Thats damn fast for a factory production STOCK corvette... imagine with mods? cam + heads and some spray = bye bye lots of bikes.. Single turbo?? heh. Check out this video of a turbo mustang on low boost playing around with a zx-10r. Not perfect races and by no means a "professional rider" but shows that cars can hang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnjW2ubs_YM&NR=1 Ask that mustang to beat the bike in a road race? gonna be a wrecked mustang real quick lol
