My bike just started doing this, Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump. Turn on key and the fuel cut off relay clicks, you can hear the pump start to prime. replaced spark plugs and checked spark first.(gapped at 35) Sprark is good. Before all of this it stalled acroos town and i bypassed filter @ pump, then ran hose from tank straite to carbs. It started and was fine on the way home. I put every thing back together with new parts. Now it only starts up and then dies after a few seconds. Thats what it was doing before when this all started.Tried fuel pump from friends 2000 cbr6oo f4 and had same results. mine is a 99 model. Bad gas? If you spray carb cleaner in the air in takes it starts right up, gas dripped in carb same thing. After few seconds it dies. Pretty sure gas is getting to carbs. I have a K/N air filter also. I just got the bike 9 months ago and did'nt think i would start having problems so soon. I ride wheelies some times and this started happening same day i rode one and it came back down pretty hard that day, cuase of problem ? please help me, i have the book and have been reading butt can't seem to find whats wrong. I have wreaked th frontend a long time ago but just cosmetic damage on the front left intake hose not hooked up butt r side is fine.
