I'm sorry I don't like it ... I much prefer the stock look ... I think the mirrors on the fairing give a bike a sort of elegant and poised look ... the ones on the handlebar would also keep getting knocked in my opinion ...

Wow, Those things still around. Ok I will be honest, its up to you, do you like them?
With the handle bar mirrors, you going to cop a bit more vibration through them, when I had them on a different bike, you did not get a great field of view as the bars where never staight ahead, which meant you copped a different view each time. Sure the originals give you a great view of your elbows, but a more static. But they don't look crappy if thats wot your after, just don't throw the originals away.

i wasnt crazy about my stick mirrors either. So I took them off, trashed the rubber boot, sanded down the arm so it was polished steel, clear coated it, painted the mounts black.

I don't like those at all.  They would get knocked all around in the garage.  I have some gixxer shorty mirrors on mine.  I just had to grind down the mount so it was flat, tack weld a small nut in there and painted it.

i can't imagine the bar end type mirrors being useful other than to be street legal and if they are just to be street legal i would just get a set of the mini mirrors off eBay that replace your original ones, but at the same time if you like it then thats all that matters, some people will love it some will hate it so do what you like and screw everyone else. :)

yeah no doubt. i just took her out again today and i do like that the big alien ears are gone but when i check the mirrors it takes my attention way off of whats in front of me for to many seconds. that i dont like. i've never seen the shorty mirrors hmmm. i think that will be worth a look at least to keep my attention on the road.

these are the ones i bought for my f3 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-CBR-600-F4-F4I-900RR-929-954-TURN-SIGNAL-MIRRORS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35587QQihZ012QQitemZ220233844306QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

these are for a 4fi so i dont know if they will be a direct replacement for yours, as my f3 has the headlamp and mounts from a 85 zx900 so i had to drill new holes anyways lol

for some reason i remember seeing some mirrors that looked like an ice cream cone (kinda) and mounted right to the fairing mount.

i couldn't find them in black just the carbon fiber, but the good news is that the rubber pulls down easy and the lens come off easy too about 5 Min's to scuff them and paint them black
