im a newbie here and actually looking to buy my first bike and what better place to go than a forum, I am part of another car forum but I have to have a CBR and this is the one I am looking at, what are your thoughts? I offered him 4 grand cash

Price: $ 4,400
Item: Honda Cbr 1000rr
Date Posted: 2-Feb-08

Seller Comments:
The bike is absolutely perfect and has never been wrecked or abused.Mechanically is as good as new, runs great, recen serviced and inspected. The paint is slick as glass with only 3 very minor imperfections, the wheels are mint and look amazing as well as the rest of the bike.Clear title in hand, only 3190 miles, first owner,i bought it for recreasional use and now need to sell it.Local pick up prefered and delivery can be arranged to U.S only.E-mail or call for details.

Thats way too much bike for you to get started on. Even a 600 is way to much, dont want to hurt your feelings by telling you that, but i wont be the only one to tell you that on here.

Dam that sounds to cheap for that bike. Thats a good deal. Why not give the person the extra 400.00. Also if this is your first bike I would get a 600.

+1. the 1000's are to powerful for a first bike. My friend wouldn't listen to me, bought a gixxer 1k and made it 72 miles before he acidentally lifted the front and totaled the bike.

That is an awesome price and worth the full asking price. If you still insist on getting this bike, at LEAST take the MSF (motorcycle safety foundation).

you'd be really foolish to buy this as your first bike.

buy a OLD 600 or lower cc bike to start then upgrade..

your first car wasnt a forumla 1 but thats what these bikes handle and drive like.. so dont do it
