Good to see Adelaide is represented. Anyway back to the topic at hand. I have an old 87 cane. -Way too underpowered. -Alternator & cam chain tensioners poor. -relatively comfortable except for long straight rides. -Honda dealers -Easy to maintain. -Simple to balance carbies.

+1 Blue, except the underpowered bit......? I know the earlier motors gave a little less horsepower - maybe go down 1 tooth on the front sprocket ? A friend of mine did that on an 87/88, and bored his motor out to 1150cc......I couldn't even come close !! Blew mine into the weeds.. (and most of the bikes he ran against) Mine eats regulators but I hope that little problem has been resolved. Lousy turning circle, and heavy to manoeuvre at low speeds or in restricted spaces. Has anyone done a writeup on balancing the carbies ?- mine need doing but some advice would be most welcome.
