I Just picked up my first bike for $2800. Its an 02 CBR F4i with 4000 miles. It was dropped at low speed. And needs a couple things. Wind screen, turn signals. And mirrors. Anybody have a place to buy these things online. IM new to the sport bike scene. Also anything i should do to it right away?

I still cant ride it for a couple weeks anyway cause my motorcycle classes dont start for another 2 weeks.

There is something that you should do to it IMMEDIATELY!  Take off the high mount exhaust, and send it to me.  I recommend this as soon as possible.   J/K, it looks sharp.  I like the white frame sliders, very nice.

ya i gotta get new frame sliders also. The 1 on the other side was shot. Not much damage it seems ilke the slider took all the blow. but i fiqured my first bike. ill prolly drop it eventually. so after this season i can get new fairings and stuff after i get the hang of everything. Beats dropping a brand new bike

The next couple of weeks are going to drive you nuts, all you'll want to do is ride it.

Congrats on a good find.

Even after you take the class, take it to a parking lot and practice alot of the things they show you in the class.  I didn't wait until I took the class to ride, but I did go straight to a parking lot and practice accelerating, stopping, and turning sharp corners.  I am fortunate thought o have a church about a block away from my house, so I could go to their parking lot, say a little prayer and practice.

Oh ya, definitely don't ride without the helmet and jacket.  I have gotten so used ot having my jacket on that if I don't, I feel almost naked.  The last time I rode in my winter jacket I just had a t-shirt on so it was really baggy.  I fealt like I needed a seatbelt or something, it was wierd.  So I had to go pick up a new jacket that fits tighter for nice days.

also ive been doing alot of searching but didnt get a real answer. ITs got 4000 miles. What octane gas should i be putting in. I know manual says 87. I know alot of people sware by premium. Whats the right answer. I know how octane works so please dont explain what the octane means. I just tohught the higher the compression the higher octane and these bikes have like 12:1
