well it started up, sounded better than it has, then started one by one pulling the connectors off the coilpacks.
First and Second killed the engine=GOOD
Third coil did nothing after starting it again=BAD COIL

Well... until I read that last post, I was going to say I was sure of your problem...  but I'll say it anyway.  My bike has something wrong with that little drain hole/line thats inside of the filler cap thats between the actual inside of the tank and the outside.  Every time it rains or I spray off my bike some water drains into there, and instead of draining onto the ground, it goes into my tank. (There's a crack in that line inside my tank, and fuel will drain out of it too when its really full = I need a new tank but $$$, different story)

So I'll be ridin around and after about 5 miles or so it does what you described.  Sounds like a harley or lawnmower or something..  Has no power and sounds like its only firing on one or two cylinders.   Its just some water in the gas.  What I always do is take it out on a highway and run the PISS out of it.  doesn't matter what gear or anything, just keep the throttle wide open and it'll spit and sputter and eventually after three or four times it'll clear it all out, and the bike is fine.

This may or may not be your problem, but it happens regularly to my bike EVERY TIME IT RAINS, but its no big deal.  But before you go blowin big $$$, try that and see if it helps at all.
