hey guys  Ive got a 88 cane. Anyway the bike started dieing on me after short trip (acting like its running low on fuel) Some times I can get her started by appling full choke.  Started after filling my gas tank.

First I installed a new fuel filter and added water remover incase of water in the gas. The bike started fine and ran good untill 45 mins later when it left me stranded on the side of the road

So a automotive tech friend i have sugested the fuel pump may be bad. I pulled the pump and found the points inside were wore out and the wires looked fried. The local Honda delership didnot have a fuel pump and wouldnt be able to have one for at least a week, so I installed a "universal" fuel pump from the local napa store . 1.5-4 psi

Anyway the bike tryed to leave me walking again tonight after i got her back together. But I was able to keep her running with the choke half on enought to get me back home.

Any Ideas??
