just wondering how much of an effort it takes to get to and replace the plugs on a 99 F4. if anyone could give me a general idea of what the work entails i'd definatley appreciate it.

Just make sue you have the factory spark plug removal tool that comes in the toolkit.  Straight forward from there.

yeah its a bitch, nearly impossible to get out without the tool, i found something that works good enough at advanced auto parts.  First time i changed them took me quite awhile, but now I can do it in about 30 minutes or less

I didn't have many problems with mine.  i was dreading it because I thought it'd be a 2 hour job.  I took my time and could do it again in 30 min or less.   I didn't have a special tool but just used a long extension, dropped it down the hole and it came up about flush with the valve cover... put the socket wrench on it then...

Yea, pretty much what everyone else said. You have to take off all the body paneling and also disconnect the radiator from its mounts. Some would say to remove the tank as well, but i changed mine with it on no problem.  Total work time from start to complete reassembly for me was almost 4 hours, but it was my very first time taking anything apart on the bike.  Once you do it once, you can redo it it in 30-45 mins.

I spent about $20 on the spark plug tool by ordering through my local dealer.  It worked great for me and I recommend it as its the perfect fit to get down into the heads in that small space.
