I just got a 96 cbr 900rr, and I firmly believe that louder pipes save lives, not to mention that the louder it is the better eargasm I get from it.  But I was wondering what kind of pipes would be best for my model, and what brand/website I could go to in order to find it. Any help?

personally i have a Vance & Hines SS2R on my 94. sounds deep throaty and loud lol. got it off ebay for a snip over $180. any good bike accessory site should be good for pricing or go straight to the manufacturers websites. V&H, Micron, Laser, blue Flame, Ackrapovic. any like that.

D&D i love, love, LOVE the D&D and they are the loudest pipes i think you can get for the 900. they are not as expensive as the V&H (but that was a year ago) and the sound with a D&D is deep so it dosent sound ricey like the 600's and some 1k bikes. when you are on the bike and not on the throttle it isnt too loud to be annoying  but when you get on it.. you know it is there ;)
hope it helped

I run an SSR2 Full System (header, mid, can)  on my 95' and love it.  I bought the system used and the previous owner had removed all baffling so I used some header wrap and a single layer of muffler mat to wrap the baffle and the exhaust sounds real mean.  Love the look and overall quality of the system and I know that V&H can be counted on for quality for sure.  I ran a Leo Vince before and it was very quiet, and didn't really do much for me.
