Hey guys, i bought a 93 f2 and the place that hold the guage cluster is broken and it is loose, looking on ebay i found ones that are similar to mine and are cheap and the only one that has no problems at all is 120.00.  My question is how hard is it to convert a f2 guage cluster to the digital one of the f4 or even convert it back to an older version from the f1?

Thanks in advance.

Well if u go to the F4i digitals, u gotta figure out some way to get the manual speedo (works off of front sprocket i beleive.), to work off the front wheel. Ive heard alot of people say that a sv650 cable will work. The F4i gauges are CHEAP, and u gotta remember that ur gonna have to retap your thermostat wire to work in the radiator.

lmk what u do, im gonna try this in a week or so

I am totally new to motorcycles, so idk if i would tackle this by myself, if you do it you should let me know how you did it and how it worked.  Would i have to buy a different mounting bracket to fit the f4i guage?

Well im actually doing an F4i conversion on my bike. (Just the front end) Yea ur either gonna have to make a new mounting bracket, or just bend some stuff around to make it fit.

The rpm's and stuff will work automatically but the other stuff is a bitch

Then the front fairing wont mount up right, although u could do some modding there.

Probably would be easier.
