Don't know how mechanically inclined you are but when i had the same problem i took my carb rack off and found i needed new needle valves and seats. It was only $200 for parts and labor at my friends shop, but then again i know the guys... I suggest taking the carb rack off and inspecting your needle valves and floats but like i said, i don't know how mechanically inclined you are. Hope that helps!

If tune-ups are the extent of your wrenching, you might want to have the work done. Carbs aren't as difficult as they are made to be, but they need to be serviced correctly or you can just have headache after headache. A shop will probably synch them too for not much more, simple process and it won't hurt. Just depends, you could do it yourself and have it done by early this evening or it could be in pieces tomorrow or you could have it together tomorrow, not running and have haul it to the shop... Kinda just depends man, definitely geta manual and take a look at the procedure. I don't know what bike you have but a member here, www.stephygee.com (username StephyGee) has manuals for free download. Good luck.
