karmapolice991 -> karmapolice's Street fighter build thread (5/16/2008 2:12:19 PM)

I bought this bike about 2 years ago with the plans on learning to ride. A few crashes later my plastics where garbage and I started to lose intrest in the bike. I ended up selling most of the plastics that where still good to help buy books for school. But over the winter I have been geting the urge to get out and ride again. Currently this bike does not run due to wiring problems caused by a mouse. Im trying to build something a little different than the normal bike on the road.
On with the pics.
This is how it sat last summer

It still needs alot of work, I need to get it running, turn signals, seat, cleaning, brake lever and new fluids.

you can use the oroginaal seat if you would like. all you have to do is cut the passenger section off and mount up new fasteners tho the rear of seat because cutting of rear will eliminate the mountin holes.  use a couple of metal brackets from home depot that have holes pre-drilled and you will have to drill holes in the underside of the seat for the brackets to hold on to.

I got the Idea from a member on here who did a thread on it for ame after I asked how he did it. if anybody can remember who did the rr tail conversion and used the original seat please post.

not really just a pain in the ass,  if you going to do it have plenty of zipties male, heat shrink and electrical tape.
