StuDog44 -> New to the site (5/21/2008 8:45:42 PM)

Hey guys.  Here's the basics.  My name is Stuart Danenberger, I'm 27 and I'm from Illinois.  I bought my first bike last year at the end of June, had a bit of bad luck with title issues,[:@] but finally got it registered in my name and got my license last August.  I bought a 2003 600F4i.  It had 4000 miles on it and I got it for $5500.  So far the only thing I've done to it is installed an integrated LED tail light, which I still need to get the blinkers in it wired up and take those stock ones off.  The previous owner installed a Micron slip on, which I think sounds awesome!! [:D] I've since put about 3500 miles on it and it's in the shop getting a new set of tires put on.  I probably won't do much more to it this year, possibly a new windscreen, some flushmounts for the front and take care of the blinkers in the tail and maybe some Pazzo levers.  Then this winter maybe a fresh paint job and a PCIII.  Who knows...sometimes money burns a whole in my pocket!! [:D]  Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and I'll try to get a picture of the bike embedded in this post!

Nice looking bike. Its easy to get bitten by the bug and want to spend money on your bike. As for your tires, www.ridenowonline.com has really good deals. I got the Pilot Powers and love em.

Thanks for the link.  The problem I've ran into is all the shops around here either won't install the tires unless they are bought from them OR they want a ridiculous surcharge to mount a set of tires not bought from the shop.  I ended up having to buy the tires from the shop.  I went with Metzler Sportec M3's.  Heard lots of good things about them.

New tires feel so good... normally it's between $40 - $50 per tire to get tires mounted on-bike.

Yea, I paid 64 per wheel and took the whole bike in.  I could have paid $40 per wheel if I had just taken the wheels in.  I'm lazy though so I just had them do it. [:D]
