Finally got my bike running after winter storage. when i bought it in the fall it had a light rattle/tick which seem to come from the right side (on bike) of the bike.
now that i got it going again, as i let in run and get things moving again. the Rattle seems more rougher now. kind of rattle, tingy. seems to smooth out a little when i adjust the throttle control speed screw, but never goes away
Any ideas what i'm looking at?

Sounds like your Cam Chain Tensioner. They are know to go out on our bikes. You can pick up a manual cct on ebay for under $50.00. They're not that hard to replace also. Not sure what the dealers would charge you, probably don't want to know!

If you don't have a repair manual yet, get one, it's almost a must for our bikes. That manual wil tell you how to check and replace the CCT. The one the comes on the bikes from the factory, adjusts the tention on the cam chain automatically, but over time it will go out of wack. Since then they have come out with a manual one that is much, much better. Once installed it will take away that ticking noise, and if you hear it come back, you can adjust it yourself until the ticking is gone.

i changed mine two weeks ago, i went with the oem cct, but everyone says' to use the manual cct.  the oem was two allen bolts off stuffed a paper towel down the hole carefully scraped the old gasket off with a flat head screw driver pulled the paper towel out put the new tensioner on with the gasket no goo(dunno if it needed it but no leaks so far) torqued it down pulled the pin put the cap on and bam! no more tick

CCT changed guys. I adjusted it it adn it seems fixed, but there just seems to be a little knocking in there. Any ideas?  I do have 43000 on this bike, so it could be due for something, or maybe it''s just age?

May need a good tune up. Adjust the valves, timing, plugs, ect...
