Does this plug look ok?

Coopz -> Does this plug look ok? (5/22/2008 1:14:26 AM)

I replaced my plugs today with NGK Iridiums. Just looking at the old 1's that were replaced 10,000k ago.
Are they a bit dirty? Is this a sign the engine is running to rich or is it normal for 10k use?
Not sure if this is the dirtiest, one was even a bit darker.

Coopz, those plugs could've come out of my bike [:D]- running a bit rich, but fine.......rather that, than too lean.....

They should be all the same mostly (goes without saying), that looks a bit dry

It looks a little rich to me, but not too bad. If you have a jet kit, you can try dropping your needle 1/2 notch by using a shim.

Glad to be back!

Normally a slightly brown plug is the best.  White usually indicates a lean mixture while black indicates rich mixture.  And well oily...thats just bad....  Plugs should be dry when you remove them.  Yours look like it maybe running slightly rich, but it a typical Cane issue as they all run abit on the rich side from the factory and is just fine, and like vl5150 said, you could have a jet modification.

Off to tackle my CCT....

I found that standard fuel is best, E-5 seams quite good, but been told I shouldn’t use it
