That's right I got a 2005 CRF50F on Sunday for $400.00 cash with title.  The bike needs a few things to be 100%, starts first kick so I'm waiting on parts to get here.  I also ordered a Fast 50's big bar kit, a 3 up rear sprocket and a better shifter and all the OEM parts I needed.  Over all I will have about $750.00 in the bike so it's not bad.  It has a Sik 50's exhaust on it, rear stunt pegs and a skid plate that is cracked so it's comming off.  Oh and it has street tires so it's better for stunting.  I have tore it done alot this week and started cleaning and painting parts and adjusted the carb.

I had a bad ass 2004 CRF50 a few years ago and never should have never sold it.  I use to be able to stunt that little bike like crazy, but now have to relearn it all.  I also got the bike for my GF's kids to play with when they come up from FL.  I just wanted to share my new project.  Sorry no pix at this time, but i'm taking them as I go.

Sweet!  I came so close to picking one up this last weekend too.  It was an 80 but still, they're a lot of fun.

I remember you saying that you were thinking about getting a dirtbike for a supermoto thing, or maybe you said it would be fun or I dunno... just wondering if you were gonna see about one of them too?

Have fun on it and I'll save the the, "" as it isn't necessary...

Damn, way up there, huh?

They're around here all day long for next to nothing, even less if you want to rebuild something yourself.

I have a buddy who sells a lot of bikes on eBay and he uses a shipping company that costs around $300/$400 for a dirtbike.  Something to think about if you can get one cheap enough.

In all honesty though, I would skip the 2-strokers, man.  I saw a CRF250 at the moto-x track the other day with some brand new YFZ426's and that CRF was smoking them.  WAAAAY lighter than those bikg bikes and SOOOO much power dude.  And it's constant, reliable, predictable power.

Props to ya, CBRCRF, I hadn't seen one of those CRF250's in action before the other day.  I'm am definitely a believer.  That thing would smoke the XR up and down back and forth all day long.  Sounds as mean as a CRF450 too.

Meh, something to consider.  Much quiter too, you can ride 'em in your neighbor hood through the week to satisfy your cravings and not piss off your neighbors much... since you're in the NE anyway.

Heh, little dirtbikes.  I just bought a KX80 that needs a new top end for $225 that I'd like to fix up and maybe sell.  I used to have an rm125 that I sold for some stupid reason.  Now all I want to do is get back into dirtbikes, and I'm thinking this kx80 just isnt going to cut it.
Good luck and post up pics.

I use to be able to rock circle wheelies and slow one all day long.  I could ride a wheelie over 1/4 mile no prob and just had to set it down do to lack of road.  My old one was stock engine with K&N pipe, and rev box with the carb tuned and with the 3 up on the rear I could yank it up in third gear and ride them at like 25mph.

I hope I get the feel back for it once I start riding this 50.  If all my parts come in by the weekend I hope to have it done and going this weekend.

On a side note if anyone has a stock 50 and wants a good sounding pipe go with the Sik 50's pipe.  It sounds so good and not to loud.
