rookie here!     I got what seems to be a sticky throttle.... when I leave go of the throttle it stays open for about a seconda and a half before it closes! Jesus..when it first started to do it...I had to pull an emergency brake lol. I wasn't close to an accident but still I shat my pants for that second and a half. Anyways I need some tips on what it could be..I'm guessing iether I need lube on the throttle cables? Or worst I need to change the cable? Iethere way I kinda wan to try and fix it myself if I could. So I need a how to guys plz help thx in advance.

I'm sure this post could help out some other newbies.

DO not put oil in ur throttle cable. This will make it better for a lil while but it will get 10x's worse. Oil attracts dirt if u havent noticed that. Buy a new cable. Its very cheap and cant be hard to put on.

I dont know about the f2's, but in the f3's there are two cables.  try to adjust the two cables under the gas tank near the carbs. My guess is the snap back cable isnt adjusted right. You should be good after that adjustment.

They do make cable lube. That is supposed to be ok to use.

The cables are in a casing so lubing them would be fine. You can try that, and like was stated already we have 2 cables so it could be adjusted wrong. Check the cables and if you have to replace them it wouldnt be tough just time consuming and a bit of a headache because of the handle. A trick if you have to replace the cables would be to remove the clipon, that way you dont have to try and stretch the cable to reach the handle.

Lube them and see how long that lasts. Been there done that.

If that doesn't work check to see if your bar end is pinching your grip on the throttle clip on itself.  That was the problem on mine, the bar end was pinching the grip so the throttle was like cruise control.

I had that same problem but someone had wired them in wrong and the place where the return cable is held on the little mount, it got loose and feel off so no back tension.
