Yep, I've had the bike for a year and it finally happened. I think a congratulations are in order.

I was putting air in the tires, and I needed to pull up the bike a little bit to get the air stem out from under the front forks. So, standing in front of the bike, I grabbed the right handlebar (my other hand was occupied with the air hose from the gas station) and I didn't bring the bike up straight. Pulled the bike forward a bit, kickstand drug on the ground and came up, and she went over. Half of her was in the grass. She fell on a curb.

No damage really, other than a slightly scuffed mirror and a stator cover. No biggie because the stator cover is covered by a sheet of carbon fiber that's all scuffed up.

Anyone know where I can get another carbon fiber stator cover for an F4i? I Think it's just glued on and pounded in with a ruber mallet hammer.

I found one here but it's like 100 freckin' dollars!

Might as well get a new cover since they are cheaper than $100

You're going to be paying about $100 for a carbon fiber stator cover no matter where you buy it.

fly, that doesn't look too bad... you could always sand down all the clear and re-clear the whole thing.  It doesn't look like it even touched the actual carbon fiber (well, at the bottom it might have... but it doesn't look bad at all).

Eh screw getting a new one. I'll just use a magic marker. Nobody would be able to tell unless they got right up next to it.

LOL

The sad thing is, I've done that to my car before... hey, black car, black sharpie... what's the difference? (this also works well on black wheels for about a week, then it starts fading... "curb marks?  what curb marks? )

Hmm, what about a clear epoxy? spread a nice amount on the scuff and kind of shave it off. So it fills the scuff yet you shave off the excess so it remains the height of the surface. Should dry clear. Anyone like this idea?
