hey guys qucik question for ya. i've noticed lately on my bike that the amount of play i have in the clutch lever has dropped dramatically despite tightening . also when im sitting at a stop light in 1st gear and holding the front brakes then release i can feel the bike wnating to move forward . im thinking this is a sign of a worn clutch cable but upon inspection i dont see any frays and its not broken. when i pull the lever i can pull it about 1.2 way before it even moves the cable (hence the play i refered to earlier)

so im hoping im right nod this isnt a problem with my clutch itself. but if im wrong please let me know. i haven't noticed any slippin of the clutch either.

Is it hard to pull in at all? I had one on my gsxr that frayed inside the tubing, could not see it at all. It started getting hard to pull in, then a few weeks later snap. It could also have stretched a bit over time, i would suggest checking your adjustment at the clutch, or in other words to make sure its ok, do it by the manual. Screw it in at the lever, adjust properly at the clutch cover, then fine tune it at the lever and see how it works. If that all seems good try replacing the cable, they are pretty cheap and only takes a few min to do.
