actually Sport Rider posts 108.4 at 13,500 rpm. i am also interested in this as i have a 05 tribal and would like to reach 120 hp. i was thinking about just getting a 05 r1, but i figured a 50 hp jump is just a lil much for a second bike as i am still relativly inexperienced. what is the best way to squeeze hp out of these bikes?

well for the 600RR, you can probably do full exhaust, power commander, k&n filter, but if ure still wanting more power....just get a 100RR, but if ure inexperienced, i strongly suggest you to get experience on the 600 first before going bigger.

If you got 108hp stock it's realistic to hit 120hp with common mods but you're not gonna see much more than that without some serious money. Full exhaust with PCIII and K&N filter should net you 6-8 hp with another 2-4 if you actually take it to a dyno and get it mapped. You'll also lose weight with the full exhaust so that'll make it faster also. Port and polish the head will net you maybe another 2-4 hp. All of which will run from $1500 - $2500 depending on how much you do yourself. If you really wanna scare the bejeebies outta yourself hook up a dry NOS 40hp shot. All this stuff is very addictive so don't say you weren't warned
