Hey guys, this is my first post so let me start by saying hi to everyone. i just got my first bike a 99 f4. picked it up the other day and drove it home 2 hours. it was working fine in the begining except the battery was dead, so i jump started it. after riding for over and hour, i pulled into dumkin donuts to take a break, and the bike just turned off in the parking lot at idle. i was confused... i tried tom start it and the battery was dead. so i jump started it off my buddies car and it didnt wanna idle to well, once we took the jumper cables off that is. the biken runs great except the fact it wont charge or hold a charge. i bought a new battery and jump started that one right away. drove it for 45 mins and it only held partial charge, like the headlight would come on but wouldnt turn over unless we jumped it.

this is my first bike so i really dont know to much... if you could be specific on your answers that would be amazing cause i am not familliar with bikes yet.
