You said you lubed it 200-300miles? You ride that amount about every month or two? So you lubed it like once every month. Its like asking if you need to change your oil thats only be used for 1500miles but has been in the motor for a year.   (in reply to gr8shot) Post #: 18

RE: Chain Life - 5/30/2008 10:58:56 PM    gr8shot   Posts: 94 Joined: 5/6/2008 Status: offline Well when it was nice and I was riding more often it would get oiled about once a week or week and a half.  In the winter, if it was nice enough to ride, I'd usually oil it after I got done riding, before I'd put the cover on it.  Correct me if I'm wrong here, but water isn't going to displace oil...  and as long as there's oil on the chain it should be fine no matter how long it sits.  I duno what to think other than a pos ebay chain.  Guess I'll just replace everything at the end of the summer, so I know what I've got, and how long it should last... Appreciate all the help so far though!!!
