So I have been spending the last few weeks getting this bike road ready... its all set, I just got a new chain and sprocket kit , the 520 conversion from sumofallparts, all the lights work, its insured , and its plated.

so I finally finsihed the chian and sprocket thing and decided to take it for a spin tonight... its got like no power???? I rev it all the way up and the motor has the rpms but nothing to boot.  My bro was on our 88 honda vtr250 and it was blowing me away, not once did it even come close to feeling like the front wheel was going to come off the ground.  I talked to the kid who owned it before me tonight, toi ask him about what mods were done to it, he said it was ported and milled, had a jett kit, and the yoshi exhaust.   I was expecting it to rip my arms out... I got nothing , any suggestions???

mine lost all its power today to and it got a louder low rumbel not the clean sound i esualy get. I took it home and checked the inatake, emptied the feul filter and shook a bit of crap out of it reajusted the choke (below the tank) and cleaned the plugs. It fired right up and is working as smooth and if not better than it was before. try the same it might help ya out. I dont know why it worked lol

I bought an 88 for parts... when I got it home it would hardly run. I took the tank off and to my surprise the whole airbox was stuffed full of dog food and mouse turds. After a thourough cleaning it did start... with a bang. There was also dog food and turds in the exhaust. It blasted out and left a hugh stain on the wall behind the bike...

It took 30 minutes of hard scrubbing and pressure washing to get all the turds off the siding... After the "obstruction" was removed from the exhaust it seemed to make better power...Although the exhaust odor was reminicent of mickey and pluto getting napalmed.
