Ok guys. Got my carbs clean. Not once or twice, id say ive had them off 5 times now. Anyway there is somthing up.

In the morning she will idle fine . after a short drive , when stoped at a trafic light the idle will begain to jump up and down . If I do not blip the throtle the bike will stall. Riding it works fine, Except it will bog some times at 4000 - 4500 rpm?  Has anyone else have this happen?

They havent been synced yet, i do plan to have it done tho. Would having them out of sync cause this much of a problem?

do you know how to do them yourself?

Dont have a set of guages . I really didnt think the carbs being out  would cause a rough idle like its doing . I was leaning towards maybe a intake leak ?

sit the carbs in front of you and look through the butterfly side, and see how much gap is at the bottom and set all of them the same. that is as close as you can get without gauges.

ya actually i did that before i put them back . didnt see a diffrence, even measured it with a small drill bit.

dude i had the exact same thing happen i pulled the carbs and put them back on probably at least 15 times and still didnt get it right i replaced the carbs and havnt had a simgle problem since. also check that on the number 2 cylinder that there is a air inlet of sorts and a hose connects it to the carburators i fixed that when i replaced my carbs with a used set and havnt had a problem since. did the bike work before you pulled the carbs or was it the same story then and thats why you tried to clean them.
hope that this makes some sense

Ryan
