When I first turn the bike on if I hit the left signal it's steady (flashing 100mph), but if I hit the right first, then the left, it works perfect, and will continue to work perfect until I turn the bike back off. Any other ideas?

I haven't been able to figure it out. I assume it has something to do with a connection to the resistor or ground wire. Or bad resistor in general. I don't know though.

Strange, do you have flush mounts? If so, has it done this ever since installing them, or just started happening?

I Ironically have the same problem, Ill have to do a search and rescue on the weekend ( I just found out today...when the cops pulled me over..and gave me a ticket..for the above mentioned light problem) to determine the solution to our mutual problem. probably wiring..thats 90% the problem 10% of the time..2/3 times...on average...give or take.

k mang, I figured out my problem, which might coincide with yours..did you check to see if the left rear turn signal bulb is burnt out?? Mine is, and when I was search and rescuing, I plugged in the rear right into the rear left turn signal connector, and then my right turn signal display went all fejibity..so that tells me there was an open some wheres..hmm..open...and the light doesnt come on...hmmmmm.....no continuity to the light, making it not work...kmmm.....HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

like you know what happens when you turn the lights on in your house and tothing happens?? TIME TO CHANGE THE BULB!!!

HAhahahah....yea KISS

Keep
It
Simple
Stoopid

Hope that helps. O BTW Spec power for rear turn lights are 12V 21W the Hotbodies are 12V 23W

I JUST had this problem, and it was because the wire for my resistor connected to the left signals broke.  I went to radioshack and got a new resistor, hooked it up, and it works perfectly.  Just a side note here...my kit came with 20W 5 ohm resistors and I replaced it with a 20W 8 ohm resistor, and it worked perfectly...just in case you have trouble finding the exact type.  If I''m wrong about this, you''ll only be out $2.

Hello.  My bike is an 08 600RR.  I installed the hot bodies flush signal lens on my bike myself.  According to my research and the dealer, I needed resistors.   When I installed the signals, they flashed a little faster but you can still tell that it''s flashing.  Honestly I light the faster rate.  So I didn''t didn''t bother installing the resistors.  You may have the wiring set up wrong cause.  It''s easier if you have light a test light that way you know exactly with wire is which.
