I have pretty much decieded on getting a textile jacket for two reasons. For one its more affordable than a leather and second its seems more versitile.

I see that there are several different manufactures and the price range seems to match the number of different manufactures. Any suggestions on who to go with and wo to stay away from????

well the only jackets i own are joe rocket and they are great one leather w/all armor ($150), the other textile also w/armor(no back pad) $50 awsome jackets. i bought mine used on e-bay . i do favor the textile more, greater mobility,more breathability & way lighter than the leather (though we all know that it won't protect as well as leather) i still feel protected.
