Frame sliders or Engine protection cage?

Frame sliders are a whole lot cheaper than engine protection cage.
Engine protection cage protects a whole lot better than frame sliders.

What do you guys think on this one?

Which one would you chose?

Depends on your riding style.  If you are somewhat crazy and pull a few wheelies here and there... go with a cage.  If you are concerned more with taking corners and going to the track, go with frame sliders.

On a side note, frame sliders sucks and probably won't help if you drop the bike at 20+ mph.  A cage will hold up the beating well.  I just purchased a sick innovation cage and a subcage, it's a no brainer for me.

Almost forgot, they also sell "race rails" for track bikes.  They''re almost as good as cages, don''t look as bulky (don''t loop around the bike), and WAY better than sliders.  Here''s a pic:

I prefer silders...i dropped my bike in the garage and didnt touch anything but the slider. If i were stuntin, i would get a cage, but for regular street riding, a cage would pretty much only protect you just as much as sliders.

Overall, very happy with my $20 investment[:D]

What?  Do you even know ANYONE who dropped their bike (not stationary) with sliders and didn''t damage fairings?  A couple of my friends dropped their bikes at 25mph and smashed their sliders along with plastics.  Sliders are only good if you lay your bike when it''s stationary, period.

I have a friend who dropped his bike with a cage going 80mph on the highway, and the bike just slid and had NO damage.

You can''t possibly say that a cage and sliders are equivalent... that is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard.

I''ve been looking at some SI cages and they look sick and tough.
I think I''ll spend the extra $ for cages.

I dropped my bike b4 and it cost me a lot to get it back in perfect shape.

cages are ugly, and so are those race rails....

and street riding 90% of the time your bike is going to hit something or flip, so unless you get lucky and the bike slids a cage will protect the front but what about the tail fairing?

Acingteam.....saying someone wrecks a bike @ 80mph and no damage b/c they have a small bar on the front of their bike......we wernt born yesterday...theres no way in hell that is true

only people I know that bought cages were the so called stuners, and from what they have told me they are good for protecting engine and front fairing....and the ones I know also have the 12 O clock bars....

That''s because you are also unfamiliar with the cages.  And since when are cages "small bars" on front of bikes??    Have you guys even seen a cage on a bike?
