I was wondering what the new 08 prices have been out the door. I have checked with a couple smaller local dealers and they will not budge off of msrp. I know its a new bike but I thought I could negotiate a little. My next step is to try some of the larger shops that are a little farther away hoping that they will work with me.

...and where you live makes a BIG difference. You can negotiate. Especially the way the Economy is these days.

thanks for the input guys, I figured I needed to just keep looking. Not a whole lot is selling right now so I figure it was a good time to look.

I paid $11,300 for my black on black 1000. They had it marked at $11,999.99 which was a bit ridiculous. This is in Minneapolis at Tousley Motorsports.

10,000 OTD at extremepowersports in columbus Ga. They are marked at 10, 500. It takes some wheeling and dealing. I had a trade that I was upside down on but that was the price of the 08 CBR 1000. And yes, the 08 is definitly worth it. It weighs less than a GXR 600. It is extremely fun to have a 1000 that is that light.
