was a CBR1000FL owned by my dad when I was about 15/16 ... I had been pillion on his older bikes from about 12/13 years old but when he got the 1000 in 1990 and I went on that it was like a magic carpet ride in comparison and so comfortable and quiet too .. that is mainly what I remember of that bike and thinking how the hell can he hold that bike up .. it seemed

absolutely massive to me especially after his naked bikes .. I loved the full enclosure bodywork too and that is one of the reasons I set my heart on the CBR600F1 although by the time I got one it was an F2 :-)

mum never liked bikes .. in fact she was terrified of them ... when I started going on the back with dad it became a source of friction but it died down when she realised no amount of moaning or argueing was going to change anything other than cause us all to be miserable ...

dad actually never wanted me on bikes either ..lol ... talk about do as I say and not as I do ... I was quite the renegade back then and told both my parents once I am earning I am buying a bike ...

what could dad do?? ... he owned them himself and knew I loved being around them .. I told him as soon as I start work I am saving for my own bike and nothing can stop me ... that''s when he insisted he train me properly to ride ... he used to have an intercom system and made me listen to his commentary when going into bends when I was a pillion ...

Juliet -> RE: The only bike I ever enjoyed being a pillion on... (6/9/2008 12:59:17 AM)

anyway he had me in car parks on his 400/4 Honda too teaching me all the low speed stuff and then taking me out on it and watching me ride while he followed ...

There seems to be some cyber terrorism world wide at the moment. Even large multi national companies are loosing their servers too. Just be patient & I''m sure it will soon be sorted.
As far as pillion is concerned, I can''t get my missus on the cane. She hates the way it feels. She did however love my old bike. CB 1100f. I must admit I miss it too sometimes.
