Well I actually think it looks better than both the other stock styles..  The cowl had never even been used. I had to drill the holes on the tabs to get it to mount.

Man you are lucky. I just looked all over ebay and only found the street tail that everyone is talking about and parts to the stock one.

the deal with mine is the little tips right above the light cracked off, must just be old plastic? but i tried putting them back on with fiberglass kit, sanded it down and repainted (was proud of my work haha) but i geuss the vibrations from the bike cracked them again and they r gone. there are 3 pieces that make up the tail, the 2 side tail fairings and the small piece above the tail light, which is fine. i also thought about just connecting all 3 pieces but people told me its a bitch and will easily crack due to the vibrations

Yeah I was thinking about just connecting mine and see if that will work. I guess I will not even bother.

Now I was looking on google and came across this set. Same tail as above. That tail looks nice but the whole kit is over 800. That would be a no go for me.

Neely the front of that kit (same as my tail) is disgusting in my opinion.  The front fairing''s of the f3''s are the way to go.

Yeah I wasnt feeling that kit either. I just said I like the tail. If I could just buy that tail that would be great but I would never buy that kit. That red you are going to paint it is going to make it look real nice.

Well back to the real topic. How well does the street tail off of ebay fit without the tabs. Has anyone been able to get it on and if so does it look nice?

so i geuss the idea is to take the tabs off the old fairings and epoxy them to the new street tail piece... if anyone has done this does the epoxy hold up during all bike use and the vibrations?

SOOO. I tried epoxy on the old tabs but it didnt hold against the vibrations. So i drilled two wholes in the front top and the back top and zipped tied the tail down ( i don''t think its safe but it works) I ran into another problem after that i wasnt able to mount the seat so i also zipped tied it down.. The seat really doesn''t look like its mounted all the way down but it works. If i had to do it all over i would go straight stock. Or i would try to find some a tail with tabs. I''ma put pics up of the bike probably later tonight.. I started this bike from pieces because the owner before me tried to pop a wheelie and wreckd the whole bike.. So i came a long way with this bike
