Hey all, I just bought a 93'''' CBR 900RR. It is in pretty good condition, but is not running right now. I know the previous owner replaced the spark plugs and tried a different coil on the outside 2 cylinders that arent firing. I was just posting to see if anybody had some ideas. I have a manual and am working on the troubleshooting. But looking for some ideas from other people. Battery is good and all lights work. Will turn over but wont start up. Previous owner told me that he wasn''''t getting a spark on the two outside plugs. I am hoping it is not the ICM cuz those suckers are spendy.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jon

Your computer tells your coils to send fire through the wire or boot to the plug, if your not getting spark to the plugs start with the closest thing to the plug(wire or boot). if still no spark go to coil. if still no spark maybe ICM. If you dont want to play the parts game take to the shop.

Will do thanks for the advice. I am gonna rip her apart again tonight and trouble shoot some more. Plus I think I will run to the store and get a meter. Might make things a little quicker.

Thanks for your help and Ideas bdphap
