Remove dip stick and check level. Engine hot or cold??? - 6/11/2008 3:28:06 PM    Luis CBR1000F   Posts: 54 Joined: 1/29/2006 From: Guadalajara, Mexico Status: offline Do you need to have the engine hot or you can measure right in the morning before you start it, I have a BMW boxer engine too, on that damn thing you need to lock at the glass circle, but you must get the engine propper hot, then leave it on the side stand for 5 minutes, them put it on the center stand wait for another 5 minutes and then check again the glass circle, funny german engineers!!
